Job Description
SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Salary: $27-$32/hr- commensurate with experience
Location: Webster, MA
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Sr. Maintenance Technician will work in our Webster, MA facility. This individual plays a hands-on role within our operations, ensuring that all operating equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely. This position directly impacts the productivity and quality of products delivered. The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing, troubleshooting, and improving maintenance activities. Must be a proven troubleshooter and willing to step into different tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and mechanical reliability.
- Document all maintenance work according to company requirements.
- Assist with the development of a preventative and predictive maintenance program.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate needs for reorders to avoid delays.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations involving equipment breakdowns, fire/building alarms, or utility interruptions.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments to support operational goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or associates degree a plus.
- 5 years related manufacturing experience, preferably in liquid filling (filling/packaging/bottles/cans/containers).
- Experience in industries such as beverage, dairy, brewing, food, or other high-volume consumer goods.
- Experience with chemical batching and/or filling lines is a plus.
- Strong electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant.
- Ability to perform strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs. above shoulder height.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Overtime may be required.
