Our client, a leader in the manufacturing sector, is seeking an HR Generalist with a specialization in Learning & Development (L&D). This role will provide comprehensive HR support across recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits, and compliance, while also serving as the primary resource for training and development initiatives. The position will primarily support one business unit while providing ad hoc assistance to other brands within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including interview scheduling, candidate documentation, and job description updates.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for employees and compliance with policies.
- Partner with leadership to design, deliver, and evaluate training and development programs tailored to workforce needs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving satisfaction, retention, and workplace culture.
- Assist employees with benefits questions, payroll entries, and general HR policy inquiries.
- Reconcile HR-related invoices and prepare reports to support compliance and internal decision-making.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Collaborate with managers to identify skill gaps and implement learning solutions.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support audit readiness.
- Travel occasionally to other sites to deliver HR and L&D support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 35 years of HR generalist experience, ideally within manufacturing or a related industry.
- Prior exposure to learning and development program management strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems; benefits administration knowledge a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner across all levels of the organization.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
