Summit is the busiest level 3 trauma hospital in Tennessee. In this position you will be working in a 33 bed Acute Trauma Surgical Unit that primarily cares for pre and post-surgical patients. We also have Wound Care and Physical Therapy departments located here. We care for General, GI, Urology, Orthopedic, Spine, Podiatry, and Plastics.

This position will provide a great pathway for nurses that are interested in growing into an OR/PACU position, float pool, inpatient rehab, PCU, ICU, ER, or even educator roles or leadership positions.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Advanced Wound Care Clinic

Outpatient Wound Care RN (PRN)

As a Wound Care RN Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the Clinic and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.

• Associate's degree; Bachelors degree is preferred

• BLS required , and must be obtained within 90 days of employment

• Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer

• At least one-year clinical nursing preferred
