- Work collaboratively in an engineering team to understand design requirements for creating or modifying automated production equipment.
- Provide electrical design to produce engineering hardware data for assembling, building, and wiring control systems for production equipment.
- Develop engineering software data to achieve control tasks for production equipment processes, including PLC, HMI, Motion Control, and Robotic programming.
- Offer on-site support for the installation, system setup, and maturation of control systems for production equipment.
- Create and maintain a critical path schedule for work assignments to deliver control system design, ensuring project milestones are met for small to medium projects with low to medium complexity.
- Conduct and attend design reviews to ensure design standards are met and deliverables meet specification requirements.
- Continuously apply engineering mindset to acquire new skills, processes, and technologies to expand knowledge in relevant manufacturing technologies.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Autocad and electrical engineering.
- Experience in controls design and controls engineering.
- Robotics knowledge.
- 1-2 years of experience in the field.
- Familiarity with PLC programming including the person, Mitsubishi, and Omron.
- Ability to design electrical schematics using Autocad Electrical.
- Experience in control panel and control system design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Willingness to travel to other plants in Georgia, Indiana, Alabama, Canada, and Mexico, approximately 20% of the time.
- Ability to work overtime, averaging 10 hours per week, and occasionally on weekends.
Work Environment The role is based in an automated equipment manufacturing environment, requiring travel 20% of the time and occasional weekend work.
