What You Will Be Doing

Supervise a team of Crafts persons to execute daily maintenance tasks and PM check sheets. Support investment projects aligned with HeidelbergCement strategy. Report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and supervise maintenance work to meet production needs.
  • Manage urgent repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Develop and motivate maintenance staff for reliable performance.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planner for job scheduling and resource planning.
  • Ensure safety protocols and plant rules are followed during maintenance.
  • Participate in plant projects and provide mechanical input.
  • Maintain records and contribute to operational efficiency evaluations.
  • Support grievance resolution per Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Ensure tools and consumables are available and in good condition.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience including 1-2 years in supervision, or equivalent training/education.
  • Cement experience preferred
  • Experience with large rotating heavy industry machinery.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs; available for off-shift and weekend coverage.

Work Environment

  • Monday Friday 7:00am 3:00pm, additional hours may be required per business needs
  • Participation in bi-weekly on-call program for after-hours maintenance support.
