Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a n Assistant Underwriter to join our growing team in Clinton, MS!

As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department by reviewing insurance applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance in support of the organization's strategic objectives .

How You Will Contribute:

• Review and process all policy changes as requested by agents and insureds.

• Assist Underwriters with renewal processing and follow up requests to agents.

• Assist Underwriters with inspection review including follow-up with agents on hazards identified in the inspection.

• Communicate with agents and insureds to assist with basic policy questions.

• Liaison between various departments.

• Participate in various projects as they arise.

• Performs other duties as needed.

Licenses and Certifications:

• As required

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years as an assistant underwriter preferred.

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

• Passion for learning new technologies and enhancing existing skills .

• Self-starter with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.

• Ability to adapt and respond in a rapidly evolving business environment.
