Account Manager

Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue and customer growth within WAI Global's assigned territories and accounts. This role focuses on managing and expanding relationships with key customers, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning WAI as the preferred partner for automotive and rotating electrical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring WAI products are positioned as the preferred choice.
  • Develop strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and customer growth.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, trade shows, and sales meetings to strengthen partnerships and capture new opportunities.
  • Deliver product training and technical support to educate clients on applications, troubleshooting, and value-added benefits.

Business Development & Market expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned segments, including automotive distributors, service providers, dealerships, and other relevant channels.
  • Stay current with market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to influence strategy and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with sales management to identify opportunities in new or underdeveloped markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to communicate customer insights and support product development initiatives.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Operations, and Logistics to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence efforts.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Promote a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and engaging in cross-training.
  • Mentor and support junior sales representatives or colleagues in client-facing roles.
  • Represent WAI at industry events and trade shows as a trusted company ambassador.

Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or account management within the automotive industry or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle components, maintenance, and diagnosis; experience with OE or aftermarket solutions highly desirable.
  • Proven success in managing B2B accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
