Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, career-driven professional to join our team in the role of Accounts Payable Coordinator. The processes in the department include  accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position will report to: the Controller

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.
  • Set invoices up for payment and enter and upload invoices into system.
  • Enter and upload invoices into system.
  • Track expenses and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors, and respond to inquiries
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Maintain accurate historical records
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

Education Requirements and Skills

  • Education or years of related experience: associate’s degree OR 2-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Proficiency in data entry and management
  • Proficiency with accounts payable and general accounting procedures
  • Proficiency with the following software systems: MS Office, Excel, and Epicor (a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to  maintain professional integrity and strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to exercise keen judgement and attention to detail and accuracy.
