Painter Job Description We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team on the 1st shift in Delaware, Ohio. As an essential part of our operation, the painter will be responsible for various tasks involving the preparation and application of paint in an industrial setting. Responsibilities Gain product knowledge of materials used in the department. Prepare the job site before painting, including sanding and taping off areas. Utilize tools such as HVLP spray guns, drills, and sanding equipment effectively. Mix and match paints and colors to meet job requirements. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to order necessary paints. Pass a respirator fit test prior to painting. Interpret technical documents, including diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Adhere to all company and industry safety requirements. Identify and properly handle defective items. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience as an automotive or industrial painter. 1+ year of experience with paint booths and HVLP spray guns. Experience in a manufacturing facility as a painter. Ability to read a tape measure. Skills in sanding, blasting, production, powder coating, auto body, and general labor. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the sign industry as a painter. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Mechanical aptitude. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a standard manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled and may be loud, requiring earplugs for certain jobs. The position operates on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with a current overtime schedule from 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and 6 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
