Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations for our client's surface protection and film technologies team. In this role, you will oversee the plant's hourly workforce, ensuring daily production activities run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Plant Manager. You'll play a key part in driving operational improvements and fostering collaboration across teams including R D, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees through proper equipment and facility maintenance.
Eliminate health hazards to prevent accidents, work stoppage, and lost time.
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and systems to improve consistency, reduce cycle time, lower costs, and eliminate waste.
Manage coating, laminating, and finishing operations.
Oversee shipping and receiving operations.
Develop processes that enhance line performance in speed, uptime, appearance, safety, and overall cost efficiency.
Ensure all production output meets quality requirements for product specifications, appearance, weight, and markings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
5-7 years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years supervising multiple individuals.
Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Prior experience leading hourly production operations.
Highly Preferred Experience: Advanced manufacturing, Automotive manufacturing, Adhesive Bonding
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
