As a highly skilled and compassionate Echocardiology/Structural Heart Nurse you will provide general nursing activities involved with diagnostic testing and Cardioversions. You will work with other Cardiology RN team members to coordinate the in=patient and out-patient procedures (Trans-Esophageal Echocardiogram - sedation, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Cardioversion, Treadmill Stress Echo and Cath Lab Recovery.) You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The RN may assist with Structural Heart Clinic patient evaluations as needed. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. In this role:

• You will assist with outreach and educational programs for physicians, hospitals and clinics.
• Assist with other Structural Heart clinic duties as needed.
• Communicates assessment data in orderly fashion by verbalizing pertinent information to health team members.
• Coordinate and schedule patient pre-clinic evaluations and pre-procedural evaluation and testing.
• Assist physicians with patient consultation during patients clinic visit.
• Delivers direct patient care according to established standards.
• You will demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations.
• You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient as needed.
• You will work on quality improvement projects

Qualifications:

• Current nursing license in good standing
• Associates Degree in nursing required, bachelors preferred
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support or obtain within 90 days of date of hire.
• At least two years of higher acuity nursing experience required
• Previous heart related experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience working in ER or ICU strongly preferred
