Tomahawk Eyecare is seeking an experienced Optician with insurance billing experience to join our team in Tomahawk, WI. As a hybrid/remote position, you will have the flexibility to work both in person and remotely, providing you with a great work-life balance.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Dispensing glasses and contact lenses
• Performing pre-testing and visual field testing
• Assisting with eye exams and prepping patients for the Doctor of Optometry
• Handling insurance billing and processing claims
• Providing exceptional customer service and assisting with frame selection

Required Skills:

• Experience with insurance billing in an optometry setting
• Knowledge of ocular diseases and eye care procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ABO certification and experience with lensometry
• Ability to perform visual field testing and refraction

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with corneal topography and fundus photography
• Knowledge of dry eye management and contact lens fitting
• Ability to perform keratometry and applanation tonometry

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $34,000 to $50,000, depending on experience. In addition, we offer vacation leave and holiday pay to all our employees.
