Main Objective:
To Manage Summit Construction & Development Fleet. A competent Fleet Dispatcher needs to be highly detailed, organized and work under pressure to coordinate a lot of changing factors.
While the main priority is scheduling Fleet efficiently Job responsibilities include:
-Two-way communication with drivers to assist with resolution of
problems while in route.
- Handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, and resolve service issues.
-Deal with clients including customer service.
-Deal with sales and operational personnel (i.e. route managers,
mechanics, etc.).
-Use the appropriate software to enter the information and tracking service of the
activity.
-Directly coordinate the activities of all our drivers who participate in the
delivery of materials and heavy machinery to workplaces.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise the loading of dump trucks and the mobilization of heavy machinery, drivers and trucks.
-Plan the schedules according to the company needs or drivers qualities.
- Ensure that established routes and schedules are maintained, always complying with the
DOT requirements.
-Communicate with supervisors, managers, clients and suppliers
of material and/or landfills.
-Hire and schedule external trucks when necessary
- Handle incoming calls and emails from job activities
coming from drivers, sales department and customer service.
.-Solve day-to-day problems and try to prevent them before they become service problems.
-Guarantee that the committed services are fulfilled in a timely manner.
-Record and document driver information and distribute it to departments.
-Communicate with the fleet workshop manager and serve as a point of contact in a
emergency for example: a flat tire and other problems.
-Ensure that drivers and operators complete vehicle maintenance reports
the fleet.
-Keep track of the location, production and Safety operations.
-Request permits when required for the activity to be carried out, including:
travel and fuel , and oversized and oversized loads.
- Tracks drivers' hours of service and monitor daily inspections to ensure compliance according to the DOT.
-Manage and update the list of available trucks and deliveries
-Assign fleet according to the characteristics of the requested work.
-If there is a special request coordinate with with the drivers involved , by
example: Remove GPS, follow up on the procedure.
-Approve the departure time, destination, loading and expected return time.
-Responsible for tracking the fleet with GPS.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fleet dispatcher in construction industry preferred
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with software for effective communication with drivers and customers
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
