Dentist(Historical) Associate Dentist- Part Time
We are a independent dental office on the Southeast side of town (located five minutes from the Reliant Stadium). We traditionaly provide comprehensive services according to the office customers needs. The office enviorment is team oriented in all aspects of service and productivity.
Attributes:
Must speak fluent English and other language is good to have and preferred Spanish
Possess computer PC knowledge including knowledge of Dentrix preferred.
Duties include and not limited to:
- Delivery of local anesthetics, avoiding pain experienced by patients during procedures.
-Use of auxiolytics and other sedatives to avoid percepting pain prior to procedures.
-Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays, and other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate overall dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities, and comprehensively plan appropriate treatments.
-Use air turbine and hand instruments, dental appliances and surgical instruments.
-Advise and instruct patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes and treatment of dental problems, and oral health care services.
-Design, make, and fit prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and dentures, or write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for dental technicians.
-Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services.
-Perform a variety of anterior and posterior endodontic services including 2nd molar root canals.
-Research and write prescriptions for other medications.
-Analyze and evaluate dental needs to determine changes and trends in patterns of dental disease.
-Eliminate irritating margins of fillings and correct occlusions, using dental hands and rotary instruments.
-Perform periodontal surgery on the maxilla and mandible.
-Remove diseased tissues using surgical instruments.
-Apply fluoride and sealants to teeth.
-Bleach, clean and polish teeth to color.
-Plan, organize, and maintain dental health programs.
-Produce and evaluate dental health educational materials.
Requirements:
*Must be a DDS or DMD from an accredited school. Texas or Multi-license
*You will be expected to perform oral sugery, limited periodontics, molar edodontics, and various other dental surgeries and services.
*The preference is for a General Dentist with experience, however we will consider a new graduate ; either way an orientation period of 90 days will precede a permanent hire.
*State License and/or Regional Boards; eligibility to practice dentistry in Texas.
*Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish.
*Must have independent liability insurance coverage.
