Job Description


The Fabrication Seamer is responsible for operating an industrial seaming machine and related equipment to fabricate, assemble, and finish high-quality filtration products made from industrial fabrics. This role requires technical precision, material knowledge, equipment maintenance, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to lead or contribute within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate seaming equipment to assemble industrial filtration products according to production specifications.
  • Accurately read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and fabrication instructions.
  • Identify and distinguish between various industrial fabrics, membranes, and filter media.
  • Inspect seams and finished goods to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance with customer requirements.
  • Adjust equipment settings and perform basic maintenance to ensure proper function and minimal downtime.
  • Safely handle, measure, cut, and align fabric components during the fabrication process.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Train and/or lead a crew as needed, ensuring jobs are completed on time and according to quality standards.
  • Record production data and report material usage, scrap, or discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and engineering teams to resolve production issues.

Qualifications:

**Required:**

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year experience in industrial sewing, seaming, or fabrication (preferably in filtration or technical textiles).
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and measurements (imperial and metric).
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, bend and twist frequently (25% to 75%).
  • Ability to reach and handle/manipulate equipment and pinch continuously (75% or more).
  • Must be able to use repetitive motion of fingers, wrist, arm/shoulder, legs, and feet continuously (75% or more).
  • Ability to carry and push 10-20 lbs. occasionally (25% or less).
  • Ability to lift ad pull 50 lbs. continuously (75% or more).
