Construction Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers at our construction site in Johnstown, Ohio. This role requires a motivated individual who can implement safety measures, improve production methods, and ensure product quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and collaborate with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and address personal grievances.
• Set and monitor product standards to ensure high-quality finished products.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

• Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Proficiency in machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in construction safety, safety training, and safety management.
• Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
• Experience in various construction site roles and depth in safety across multiple trades.
• Ability to work well in a team and credibly represent our clients.

This position is 100% onsite at a construction site in Johnstown, Ohio, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role requires a commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $78.00 - $88.00/hr.
