Sustainable Materials Management Associate (Hybrid)

What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is seeking a Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Associate Professional in our Pasadena, CA office. You will provide sustainability analysis, regulatory compliance guidance, and outreach support for private and public clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow professionally while helping clients improve waste reduction, recycling, composting, and special waste programs. At this level, you should begin exercising independent judgment and be able to complete assignments with less direct supervision. You will report to our Pasadena office, with the opportunity to work hybrid.

How you can make an impact
Work may include both field activities, such as performing site visits, and conducting waste characterization studies, etc., as well as office activities, including conducting research, and preparing reports and proposals as needed. Occasional travel may be required; however, most of the initial effort will be in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or Science required

• Minimum 3 months of relevant internship, work and/or research experience required

• Valid Driver’s License with a driving record in good standing required
