Job Description
Summary
The Operations Development Manager will be responsible for supporting all operational improvements at Jabil including driving productivity initiatives to improve labor efficiency and working on cost reduction projects. This position requires experience in manufacturing operations as well as strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Developing, evaluating, and implementing strategies to increase production volume and/or reduce costs
Improving quality, reducing cycle times, improving equipment efficiencies, and increasing throughputs
Leading continuous improvement efforts such as Kaizen events, 5S, lean toolboxes, etc.
Managing multiple simultaneous project priorities and deliverables
Collaborating with engineering, materials management, production, quality assurance, and other departments to implement appropriate changes
Coordinating training of new methods or procedures
Monitoring and reporting results achieved by implementing process improvements
Using various tools such as Six Sigma, LEAN, PDCA, 8Ds, AMEE, and others
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems
Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects with competing deadlines
Highly self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently
Previous experience with manufacturing processes preferred
Previous experience using data collection software and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
