GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Website Content Manager to work in a hybrid capacity, with 2 days on-site per week at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) in Columbus, Ohio. This position requires candidates to be located within commuting distance of Columbus and offers a mission-driven work environment focused on accessible, user-centered digital content on the InnovateOhio Platform.
Position Overview
As a Website Content Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development, organization, and governance of content across OOD’s public-facing website. You will collaborate with communications, IT, and program teams to ensure that digital content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with agency goals. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with the InnovateOhio Platform, strong writing and editing skills, and a passion for optimizing the user experience.

Lead the strategy, creation, and governance of website content to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with OOD’s communication goals.
Serve as the primary content author and editor within the InnovateOhio Platform using HCL Web Content Manager (WCM).
Manage content updates, structural changes, and the creation of new pages in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Ensure all content adheres to digital accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 compliance.
Monitor web analytics and user feedback to guide ongoing content improvements.
Conduct regular audits and manage the content lifecycle, including archiving outdated materials.
Advise communications and program staff on content best practices and WCM usage.
Coordinate with InnovateOhio Platform support for technical updates and issue resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in Web/Digital Media or Design, Internet/Information Design, or a related field.
2+ years of experience managing website content in a professional setting.
Experience with HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) or within the InnovateOhio Platform.
Proficiency with Cloudinary Digital Asset Manager or similar tools.
Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards and user-centered design principles.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Experience developing or implementing content strategy and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with Ohio state government digital policies and procedures.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices.
Experience with web analytics platforms such as Piwik PRO.
