Corrections Officer

The Madison Parish Detention Center in Tallulah, Louisiana, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Corrections Officer . This role is vital to the safe and secure operation of the Center , ensuring the custody, control, and care of inmates housed within the facility.

Corrections Officers are responsible for supervising inmate activities, conducting routine cell inspections, enforcing facility rules and regulations, escorting inmates within and outside the jail, and assisting with booking and release procedures. Officers also monitor security systems, conduct headcounts, respond to emergencies, and maintain detailed records of incidents and inmate behavior.

This position requires strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Officers may also assist in transporting inmates to court or medical facilities and play a critical role in maintaining order and safety for both staff and inmates.
