Daily Responsibilities:
- Ice Maintenance: Operate the Zamboni to resurface the ice, conduct edging, flooding, and painting to maintain peak conditions.
- Equipment Care: Perform daily and monthly maintenance on the Zamboni and other ice-related equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating machinery and maintaining the ice surface.
- Facility Support: Assist with general building upkeep including snow removal, trash management, lawn care, and event setup/teardown.
- Log Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and resurfacing logs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and maintenance team to ensure timely task completion and event readiness.
- Additional Duties: Support other operational areas of the facility as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years operating a Zamboni or managing ice rink maintenance. Experience with ice painting and logo installation
- Technical Skills: Understanding of ice resurfacing techniques, refrigeration systems, and basic mechanical/electrical equipment. Knowledge of ice rink operations and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license required; Certification in ice resurfacing equipment operation (CIT Certificate) preferred
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on your feet for long periods, and perform duties in cold environments and during physically demanding conditions
