Our client, a leader in the utility industry, is seeking a Technician Associate to join their team. As a Technician Associate, you will be part of the engineering department supporting grid modernization and transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Utilize DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for grid modernization equipment and line rebuilds.
- Track project due dates and collaborate with the design team and project managers to ensure high-quality designs.
- Assist in resolving routine problems and provide support to team members as needed.
- Plan and prioritize work to meet company demands while maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, assisting in the preparation of technical reports.
What's Needed?
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related utility industry experience; or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Basic computer literacy and knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and seek assistance when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills to plan work in accordance with AEP standard practices.
- Willingness to travel across service territory for project support, with overnight travel as needed during storm assessments.
