Urgent Care (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Chico, California, seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian. The hospital provides urgent care alongside specialty services in internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and radiology, all under one roof.

Working Hours / Rota
Urgent care services are offered seven days a week from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the hospital itself open 24 hours. Flexible scheduling options are available, including full-time, part-time, and weekend shifts.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will provide same-day care to a diverse caseload, primarily cats, dogs, and exotics. Cases commonly include illness and injury, diagnostics, and treatment planning, with access to specialty support in-house. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship to help develop their clinical and professional skills.

Practice Details
The hospital is Fear-Free and AAHA accredited, with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including CT, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and hands-free radiology. The hospital's collaborative culture ensures veterinarians are supported in delivering compassionate, high-level care.

Team
The hospital is staffed with 17 doctors, including specialists in internal medicine and surgery, and supported by a highly trained team. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, designed to support veterinarians in providing the same level of care they would want for their own pets.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
