Sonographer needed

We are seeking three Contract Sonographers specializing in high-risk pregnancies to work through our agency at a hospital in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with pregnancy cases.  This is a full-time 6 month contract working in a hospital that can lead to permanent employment.  Work Monday through Friday. Pay is $55/HR. Get paid every Friday via direct deposit.  

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform detailed ultrasound examinations for patients with high-risk pregnancies, including fetal anatomy surveys, biophysical profiles, and Doppler studies.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pregnant patients.
- Ensure accurate documentation and interpretation of ultrasound findings.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, addressing any concerns and explaining procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in sonography techniques and high-risk obstetric care.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, protocols, and standards of practice.

Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited sonography program.
- ARDMS certification in Obstetrics/Gynecology.
- Proficiency in using advanced ultrasound technology and equipment.
- understanding of maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancy conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Require successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent educational background.

· Current registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

· Support physicians with ultrasound guidance during complex maternal-fetal procedures including amniocentesis, CVS, and fetal interventions.

· Basic Life Support certification
