Full-Time | 0.9 FTE| 12-hour shifts | Nights w/weekend rotation

Labor and Delivery A 24 Bed unit consisting of LDRP/Postpartum and triage rooms. We follow AWHONN standards for nursing Unit has strong spirit of teamwork working together to care for high-risk Moms from throughout the UP. Collaborative provider who values nurse input and relationships. Challenged mostly in finding experienced staff and cyclically increased census requiring more staff. 2-3 sentences max about the individual unit/department team (assignments, perks (flexible schedule, work-life balance, workday balance), team culture, etc.).
How you will contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will:
A Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
A Documents patient care given.
A Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
A Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
A Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
A Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
A Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications:
What weAre looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
Additional requirements include:
A Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
A Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
A Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) (within 1 year)
