Teacher of Visually Impaired - Columbus, OH

This opportunity seeks a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to support K-12 students in a Columbus, OH school setting on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of students with visual impairments, providing specialized instruction and resources tailored to their individual needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
• Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
• Ability to assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students in accordance with their IEPs
• Adapt curriculum materials and resources to meet students unique learning requirements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate accommodations and modifications
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
