Brown & Brown is seeking a S e nior Project Manager to join our growing team in Dallas TX!
The Senior Project Manager is an established performer who works to plan, execute, and deliver projects. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive project management leading to the successful strategy and execution of various projects over time.
How You Will Contribute:
Develop and maintain project plans using MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or other project management tools based on organizational needs.
Lead project teams by facilitating meetings, setting agendas, and tracking action items to ensure project milestones are met.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources , ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Identify and mitigate risks , developing contingency plans as necessary.
Communicate project status to stakeholders through regular reports, presentations, and meetings.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation , including charters, plans, and reports.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of project deliverables.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project outputs meet required standards.
Perform other duties as needed to support project success.
Licenses and Certifications:
Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent. (preferred)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration , Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3-5 years of project management experience in a business or IT environment.
Strong knowledge of project management principles , both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
5+ years of experience in a project management role supporting business functions or IT teams. ( preferred)
Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
Experience in a decentralized organization highly preferred.
End-to-end project ownership experience with MS Project, including dashboard creation and reporting. ( preferred)
Experience with automation technologies like Power Automate to enhance efficiency. (preferred)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills .
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
