Accounting Controller

As Controller for Custom Sheetmetal and Alliance Roofing, you'll be the financial backbone across two growing businesses—overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You’ll also work closely with BizGro, providing leadership and insights to drive business growth, streamline operations, and ensure financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and performance metrics

• Manage budgets, forecasting, projections, and cash flow planning for both entities

• Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards

• Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency and transparency

• Partner with BizGro to align financial strategy with business growth goals

• Supervise any accounting staff or outsourced relationships as needed

• Assist leadership with strategic financial planning and key operational decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA highly desirable)

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; controller experience in construction or manufacturing industries a plus

• Strong proficiency in accounting systems/software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

• Solid analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities

• Motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-growing, multi-company environment
