GEA Group in Galesville, WI is looking to hire a Test Engineer that has passion to Engineer for a Better World. We collaborate daily with global teams to develop industry leading milk harvesting technologies. We partner with the dairy farming community to provide state-of-the-art milking robots, automation, digitalization, and smart milking solutions. In the role of Test Engineer, you will tap into your creativity to collaborate with a global team of diverse people. As a Test engineer you will ensure that new product developments meet the quality standards our customers deserve. As part of the Technologies & Innovation team, the test engineer is responsible for analyzing the product features, designing test parameters, creating customized quality checks, writing final test procedures, and testing in accordance with those procedures. Success as a test engineer requires in-depth knowledge of dairy farming, engineering, and product design with attention to detail and ability to think outside the box.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate and align with development engineers to determine product testing parameters.
Write test plans to create test cases for product.
Conduct product quality assurance analysis and design performance tests.
Troubleshoot errors and provide feedback/suggestions and relay customer feedback for product improvements.
Collect data from lab and field tests then write final test reports.
Understanding of materials and evaluation of chemical reactions on those materials.
Evaluation and documentation of test criteria after milking process.
Collaboration and knowledge transfer with test management in Germany regarding new methods and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Your Profile / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering related field (Agricultural Science, Electromechanical, Physics, Mechanical Engineering), plus 1-5 years of related experience.
Continuous improvement of new methods and procedures (E.g. artificial aging)
Good communication skills, positive attitude, and team player
Comfortable working with livestock
Willingness to travel to customer sites (10%)
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $69,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
