Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Travel Contract - 17 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM/Weekends: Every other weekend

Requirements:

• Licensure: Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience
• Travel Experience: Preferred
• Certifications:
  • Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP
  • Preferred: AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM (acceptable substitute)
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Education: Must be a graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• References: 2 required (one from a leadership role, second can be Charge RN)
• Compliance: Must meet strict compliance deadline (Tuesday before start); fingerprinting required ASAP

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• IV therapy, peripheral IV start/maintenance
• Labor and delivery including high-risk obstetrics
• Fetal monitoring (external/internal, IUPC, spiral electrode)
• Antepartum and postpartum care
• Circulating and recovery for C-sections
• Neonatal care including APGAR scoring and cord sample collection
• Medication administration: Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, etc.
• Pain management including epidural support
• Triage, sterile vaginal exams, NST, and reflex assessments
