We are hiring for the following:

Position: Physician (MD or DO)

Schedule: PRN

Location: within the Commonwealth of Virginia (some travel is required)

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and on-call services for various locations across the Commonwealth of Virginia, as needed and assigned
• Medical exams of assigned patients; creating treatment plans with pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical orders, as appropriate
• Honor Consult Requests from other Physicians and Practitioners in the organization.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, visitors, medical personnel and corrections staff
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical history
• Promote good working relationships among staff and between other disciplines and departments
• Promote excellence in patient care
• Assume individual accountability for own conduct and maintenance of professional appearance
• Strive to maintain a positive manner, motivate staff to work as a team, accept constructive criticism and learn from it

Qualifications

• License to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia (MD or DO)
• State prescriptive authority (if applicable) and hold (or be willing to obtain) DEA Registration
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required prior to start date (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
