Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

9 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from the last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required after submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Equipment Used on Unit: Telemetry for each room with monitors in the stations, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, holidays required as well.

Floating Requirements: All nurses float to other units as needed.

Required Skills/Experience: Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, AIDET. Strong nursing background and knowledge, thorough assessment skills, attention to details and condition changes. Advanced skills needed: Telemetry rhythm interpretation.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: PICC line removal, vas cath/temp cath removal.

This is an Auto Offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be facilitated upon request. This request should be made upon submission.
