Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Landscape Maintenance Crew Helper to support our Crew Leader in providing weekly service for our MBTA maintenance contract. This role involves assisting with landscaping tasks across multiple MBTA stations, typically covering up to 10+ stations per day.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Wednesday, starting at approximately 6:00 AM.
- Work locations vary daily depending on the crews progress from the previous day.
- Candidates must live in or near Boston for easy access to worksites, as most stations can be reached by public transit.
- Driving is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Crew Leader with daily landscaping tasks.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including zero-turn mowers, weed whackers, and backpack blowers.
- Ensure efficient completion of work to meet contract requirements.
- Follow crew leader instructions and adapt to changing daily station assignments.
Qualifications:
- Experience using zero-turn mowers, weed whackers, and backpack blowers.
- Strong work ethic and motivation to meet productivity goals.
- Ability to report reliably at 6:00 AM and adjust to varying site locations.
- Valid drivers license preferred, but not required.
