Performs a variety of musical functions for the dance department. Composes and performs original compositions for dance courses and concerts that meet the pedagogical and artistic needs of instructors. Duties include: 1. Provides live and recorded musical support for teachers and students the classroom. 75% 2. Composes and performs music for dance concerts and performances throughout the year. 25% 3. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: Required: Bachelor's degree in Music Composition or Dance Required: 1-3 years' experience composing and performing music for dance recitals and classes Preferred: 4-7 years' experience composing and performing music for dance recitals and classes Preferred: Master's degree in Music Composition or Dance This is a casual position approved for no more than 120 hours during the 2025-2026 academic year with an end date of no later than May 31, 2026 unless approved for extension.
