What you will do:
Under general direction of the Payroll Manager, you will coordinate the processing of multiple payroll reconciliations and audits. In accordance with company policies, procedures, and sound business practices, you will be responsible for day-to-day tactical payroll activities.
How you will do it:
Accomplish payroll objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling employees.
Ensure that tasks are completed by team members timely and accurately, validate check lists, controls and audits are being performed.
Meet payroll operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system/process improvements.
Review system audit reports and identify and resolve discrepancies, oversee the payroll operations reconciliations that are being performed and work to close out reconciling items.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Accomplish organization/ NA payroll goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Overall management of off-cycle and on-cycle payroll runs
What we look for:
Required
5 years relevant experience (preferably includes managing a payroll team, shared service environment, etc)
Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem solving skills
Applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to payroll
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to analyze, solve problems and improve processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task successfully
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
High attention to detail
Preferred
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
CPP certification
This is a hybrid role at our Glendale, Wisconsin location. Requires 3 days in office.
