Project Manager - NYSoH Menands NY Hybrid

Position: Project Manager - NYSoH
Location: Menands, NY - Hybrid (Negotiable; 50% in the office)
Hours: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $60.71/hr.

Job Summary
New York State of Health (NYSoH) is New York's official health plan marketplace established by Executive Order No. 42. The temporary personnel services requested are needed to support the on-going operational activities for information technology systems consistent with enrollment goals and federal and state law and rules. The Project Manager will work closely with NYSoH program staff, vendors, and other stakeholders to define requirements for the NYSoH, and oversee change requests from start to completion.

Job Description
Specific activities to be performed include, but are not limited, to:

• Manage project using a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology containing well-defined and documented processes, templates, and guidelines for all project phases, the adherence to which is required and managed by a formal Project Management Office.
• Prepare and manage Project Management Plan including, but not limited to scope statement, schedule, budget, quality plan, risks, issues, and communication plan, etc.
• Prepare documents such as presentations, and meeting materials
• Track Project performance to ensure goals are being met
• Identify and facilitate communications with stakeholder groups
• Utilize formal project change process and communicate changes with all stakeholders

Job Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in managing multiple complex IT projects where regular interactions with Executive level stakeholders were required.
• 7 years of experience in managing an IT project with a minimum of eight project team members.
• 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project.
• 5 years of experience in managing projects using a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology containing well-defined and documented processes, templates, and guidelines for all project phases.
• 4 years of experience in managing software implementation projects or in-house application development (SDLC) projects.
• 3 years of experience in managing complex projects for New York State agencies.
• Bachelor's degree

Required Skills/ Experience and/or Certifications

• Authorized to work in US
• 7 years of experience in managing multiple complex IT projects where regular interactions with Executive level stakeholders were required.
• A minimum of 5 of the 7 qualifications listed under the Job Qualifications
