Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Riverside, California, seeking an experienced Veterinarian to step into the role of Medical Director. This full-service companion animal practice is dedicated to high-quality medicine, compassionate care, and advancing the veterinary profession through leadership and integrity. The role is ideal for a veterinarian passionate about both clinical excellence and team development.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a preferred schedule of four days per week, designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will guide the medical team in delivering best practices, oversee clinical standards, and help shape the future of the hospital. This leadership role includes active participation in patient care, including surgery, dentistry, urgent care, internal medicine, and wellness exams. The position is open to experienced veterinarians with a strong interest in mentorship and medical leadership.

Practice Details
The hospital has recently undergone a remodel, including upgrades to the treatment area and dental suite. It is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental X-rays, ultrasound, ECG/EKG, and a comprehensive in-house lab capable of bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams, and OFA/SA X-rays. Services include preventive care, wellness exams, dental care, surgery, urgent care, hospice, and end-of-life care. The clinic is known for its personalized and compassionate approach to pet healthcare.

Team
The current team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a dedicated and collaborative staff. The environment emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and delivering the highest standard of care to the Riverside community.

Candidate Requirements

Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
