Join our team in the HR Data Privacy space and play a crucial role in shaping the future of Privacy within our HR department. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with firm-wide policies and local laws. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing data-related risks and enhancing our data use capabilities.
As a Vice President in HR Data Privacy, you will be pivotal in executing key transformation initiatives across Human Resources. Your role will focus on implementing data-centered projects while ensuring data protection, compliance, and fostering a culture of data security within our organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute and manage HR data privacy incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive data privacy impact assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks effectively.
- Implement and oversee the management of data subject individual rights requests, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain HR's records of processing activity inventory to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, supporting transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Cyber, and Tech Controls to establish robust guardrails for data use and protection.
- Develop and enforce data privacy standards and protocols within Human Resources, embedding a risk-based framework for case escalation and decision-making.
- Lead case management duties and operate the governance process globally within Human Resources, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Create and manage project plans, task lists, and presentations; coordinate cross-functional team requirements to drive strategic initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with senior executives and partners, fostering collaboration and strategic alignment.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring strategic focus and efficient resource allocation.
- Refine processes for identification, review, and decision-making to achieve efficiency gains and strategic outcomes and utilize your expertise to drive efficiency gains and support the HR's data privacy framework.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in data governance.
- Strong ability to engage and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to independently execute projects with success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective information exchange.
- Proficient in coordinating and prioritizing multiple concurrent tasks.
- Keen awareness of risk and a strong control mindset.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently and competence in executing tasks under aggressive targets and managing changes in planning.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Expertise in data privacy and data governance.
- Familiarity with Human Resources processes is advantageous.
- A strong desire to establish structure for data and drive results.
- Strong data analysis, data management, and problem-solving skills.
- Privacy certifications are preferred.
