The Rehab Credentialing Specialist is responsible for facilitating Intermountain Healthcare and SelectHealth centralized credentials verification program and will serve as the primary credentialing liaison for Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, providers and/or network participating providers regarding credentialing services.

**Essential Functions**

+ Incorporates accreditation and regulatory standards requirements into Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation activities.

+ Coordinates application/reapplication process, responding to requests for initial application and verifies privileging eligibility.

+ Maintains the credentialing database with accurate and timely data.

+ Requests written verification of applicants education, experience, professional references, current and past licenses and insurance and professional liability claims history directly with the source for all applications.

+ Reviews applicant qualifications for eligibility for specific delineation of privileges

**Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of medical terminology required.

+ Minimum of one year experience in administrative work, preferred.

+ One year experience in healthcare, legal or insurance environment, preferred

+ Experience in Rehabilitation credentialing processes preferred.

+ Rehabilitation experience preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$21.84 - $33.23
