Job Summary
Job Description
Private practice office seeking experienced Medical Scribe/Assistant/COA. This candidate should also be compassionate, highly motivated, able to multi-task, detail oriented, comfortable working on a computer, and a team player.
Clinical duties may include, but not limited to:
Seating patients ready for examination
Performing data entry related to the exam and associated documentation in EMR
Editing the technician's entry as it is verified by the physician in EMR
Updating patient medical records
ICD 10 coding and completing fee slips
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 yrs as a medical scribe/assistant, preferred
- 2 yrs as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Tech required
- Medical terminology
- Using Computer applications
