About You:

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment that is always evolving and communicates well with others. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant who is already comfortable with handling/restraint, basic surgery prep, and assisting Veterinary Technicians and other staff members in a clinical setting. This position will encompass all other assistant duties includes cleaning, stocking, TPRs, restraint for exams and appointments, discharges and admits.

Experience with EzyVet and Smartflow are an additional plus but not required. We highly value collaboration from all staff members, so please speak up as your input is not only valued but can make a difference.

Anticipated Schedule:

This is a full-time position:

4 days a week / 10-hour shifts (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) or

5 days a week / 8- hour shifts (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Holidays are required.

Compensation:

$17.00 - $20.50 an hour dependent on experience and education.

Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a veterinary setting.
  • Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and patience when handling animals.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members.
  • Willingness to take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Punctuality and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to client care.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on veterinary practices.
