Overview
The position of Production Clerk is responsible for entering production and other plant data into inventory computer systems. Prepares, distributes, and maintains various required reports regarding plant information . Assists with purchase orders and finance needs as well and reports to both production and finance.
Responsibilities- Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals daily .

- Participates in department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.
- Assists with corrections, updates, and adjustments in SAP W ork in Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods .
- Reviews and correct s daily consumption errors for assigned shift .
- Supports SAP training onsite with new operators and processors.
- Track and research bin errors in partnership with Finance.
- Assist with issuing/ maintaining Blanket POs to service-related vendors .
- Following-up to ensure each release is received.
- Submit work orders and coordinate with receiving all services and work orders due.
- Assist finance with c oordinat ion of AP Activities
- Develops and distributes Processing Batch Sheets daily.
- Adds items to or adjusts the production schedule as needed .
- Generates, maintains , analyzes & distributes production efficiency charts and other production reporting metrics on behalf of production and finance .
- Runs and distributes various reports as requested by management.
- Coordinates with department managers & supervisors on any scheduling or production issues that may arise
- Complete initial /annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as outlined in training programs/ records.
- Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards .
- Serve as a qualified individual as part of the plant’s Food Safety Plan, including monitoring and verification activities related to process control and preventative control measures .
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience production in a manufacturing environment required , preferably in food-related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately work with confidential information and situations and manage correspondence.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of multi-tasking, strong analytical and math aptitude.
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems including MS Office application and SAP
- Working knowledge of production processes, scheduling systems in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.
- Associate Degree in related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions/Environment
Works in amanufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk,climb, crouch,lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility . Must be able to move 75 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals. Must be able to stand for an 8 – 10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks . May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed . The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors,moving parts/equipment . The noise level is loud in the plant . Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
