Supervisor: Program Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 40 hours/week Includes 2nd shift and weekend coverage
Work Locations: Field-based, supporting individuals in their homes and community settings, with some administrative duties performed remotely or at a corporate office.
The Finance & Support Specialist is a dual-role position that combines 24 hours per week of direct support services for individuals with developmental disabilities and 16 hours per week of administrative duties focused on managing and reviewing financial documentation, billing, and prior authorizations. This position ensures both the well-being of the individuals served and the integrity of financial and service documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Direct Support Responsibilities (24 hours/week):
Provide direct support including personal care, household tasks, transportation, and community integration.
Support individuals with developmental disabilities to reach goals outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
Promote health, safety, and independence in home and community settings.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress.
Finance and Administrative Responsibilities (16 hours/week):
Review and reconcile client credit card expenses and receipts for accuracy and compliance with agency policy.
Assist with billing for client services in coordination with finance and program teams.
Monitor and review 20/20 system entries for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in reviewing and tracking Prior Authorizations (PAs) for client services, ensuring services provided are covered and documented.
Communicate discrepancies or missing information to appropriate staff for correction or follow-up.
Maintain financial documentation logs and submit required reports as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to think critically and creatively
Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks
Possess and maintain First Aid and CPR training (or willing to obtain)
Pass and maintain all required Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training offerings
Pass a background check
Pass a drug test
Possess and maintain a driving record with less than six (6) points
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, equipment and/or material may be required. Other physical activities may be required.
Prolonged periods standing and walking within the community and other activities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
Must be able to assist consumers who have ph ysical difficulties.
Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist consumers throughout the day.
