Brown & Brown is seeking a S e nior Analyst, Health and Ben e fits to join our growing team in San Diego, CA!

The Senior Analyst, Health and Benefits plays a foundational role in supporting client engagements through data-driven insights, high-quality deliverables, and thoughtful collaboration. This position is designed for professionals with 2+ years of experience who are ready to expand their knowledge of employee benefits consulting and develop core competencies in analytics, client deliverables, and project management. While client interaction may occur, this is primarily a behind-the-scenes position focused on mastering

the technical and analytical components of consulting.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Contribute to the design, analysis, and management of group health, pharmacy, dental, life, disability, and absence programs.

  • Create, proof, and enhance client deliverables including benchmarking reports, plan comparisons, financial models, and renewal summaries.

  • Prepare materials and exhibits for client meetings and internal team discussions.

  • Assist in the development of presentation decks, reports, and RFP analyses.

  • Manage and validate data sets for accuracy and consistency across client deliverables.

  • Conduct research on emerging benefit trends, vendor capabilities, and industry benchmarks.

  • Coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams including actuarial, analytics, clinical, compliance, and communications.

  • Maintain project timelines and support project managers in organizing deliverables.

  • Review and summarize vendor responses, fee schedules, and plan designs.

  • Monitor outstanding issues and support follow-up tasks related to client needs.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Life & Health license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).

  • CEBS coursework or relevant designations (preferred but not required ).

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Economics, Public Health, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in employee benefits consulting, group insurance, or a related role.

  • Familiarity with benefits concepts, financial modeling, and industry terminology.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, v-lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit.

Pay Range

$75k - $95k Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
