Are you looking to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Heartland Imaging in Louisville, KY. is currently seeking a CT Technologist for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging centers located in Louisville (Shelbyville Rd. and Dixie Hwy). If you are looking to supplement your income in the evening and/or on the weekends, we would like to speak with you about joining the Heartland Imaging Team. This role has the potential to grow into a more permanent position in the near future as well, if this is something that would be of interest to you. With an additional imaging center located in Elizabethtown, KY., we will have hours available for those that are willing to travel and cover PTO and other needs throughout the year as well.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the CT technologist:
- Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional & 3-dimensional images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
- Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
EXPERIENCE:
- While experience is a plus, we are willing to train newly registered CT Technologists (must be ARRT and hold a CT registration through ARRT)
EDUCATION:
- Must have at a minimum - Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold a CT advanced registration through ARRT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Skill in operation of CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
