The role of Job Planning / Technical Support uses estimates, job specifications, art files, and other data to create effective plans to meet production and customer delivery requirements while ensuring minimal waste, greatest efficiencies, and productivity of the facility operations. This includes collaboration with other team members and clear documentation to ensure successful execution on the production floor, being adaptable and nimble to create profitability and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities for the Associate Job Planner:
- Supporting strategic and proactive planning, management, coordination, and prioritization of the production deliverables for the facility to meet the objectives of our key performance indicators and policy development objectives.
- Thinking critically to ensure the balancing of efficiencies, materials, and equipment to enable the facility to operate profitably with a strong service-orientated focus.
- Building, strengthening, and maintaining strong relationships amongst key internal and external partners such as management, procurement, sales, customer service, production, operational excellence, accounting, and potentially our customers to ensure upfront planning and understanding of expectations.
- Communicating directly and concisely with all parties that enable production to operate efficiently, with necessary materials, tools, and supplies, creating the least amount of disruption.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean improvement/modification.
- Maintaining positivity, and exhibiting patience and follow-through, throughout all interactions; being highly inquisitive to effectively obtain the desired outcomes of production and meet the customer expectations.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
- Experience and knowledge of all flexographic print production operations.
- Methodologies that support continuous improvement and drive results.
- Effective project management skills and ability to manage time working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear communication and collaboration, both verbally and in writing, with attention to detail.
- Prompt and thorough response to the inquiries of internal and external customers.
- Understanding of ISO/BRC quality standards and procedures along with health and safety regulations.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Required: 3 plus years in flexographic print manufacturing role.
- Required: Flexibility with schedule to fill in as needed.
- Required: Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word; basic math capabilities
- Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO/BRC quality practices and audits.
