POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Cook you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of residents. You will ensure all food is prepared according to established safety and sanitation standards while creating a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare fresh scratch-made meals using a recipe for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.

Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.

Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.

Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.

Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.

Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.

Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas.

Utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for our residents and families.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years similar cooking experience preferred
