We're currently seeking a highly motivated QA/QC Design Manager located in Philadelphia, PA .

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified QA/QC Design Manager to oversee the quality assurance and quality control efforts for a major aviation infrastructure project in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Architect (RA) with 10-15 years of progressive experience managing design quality on Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) projects valued between $10 million and $50 million. This is a hands-on, in-person position that plays a critical role in ensuring design integrity, technical accuracy, and code compliance across all phases of the project. The QA/QC Design Manager will serve as a key liaison between designers, contractors, and project leadership.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field required

Required Certifications:

  • Registered Architect (RA)

Required Qualifications:

In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.

  • 10-15 years of relevant QA/QC and design management experience in the AEC industry
  • Must have direct experience managing QA/QC for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) projects valued between $10M and $50M
  • Proven experience with multi-prime contracting structures and complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, regulatory standards, and permitting processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with QA/QC tracking systems, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and design review platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all QA/QC efforts across the design and construction lifecycle for aviation-focused CMAR projects.
  • Review architectural and engineering documents to ensure compliance with design standards, regulatory codes, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and facilitate formal design reviews at key project milestones.
  • Track and document design revisions, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality trends.
  • Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation and provide regular reports to the Chief Development Officer and Director of Operations.
  • Interface with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to address design conflicts and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Conduct site inspections and participate in construction administration to confirm field compliance with design intent.
  • Promote continuous improvement and contribute lessons learned to the organization's broader project delivery practices.

Salary:

  • $115,000 .00 - $145,000.00 annually

Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
