The Equipment Manager is responsible for the oversight of all on-and-off-road mobile equipment owned, leased and rented by the company in the region.

CompensationSalary $112,000 to $130,000 DOE
Responsibilities- Plans, coordinates and directs the repairs and maintenance of equipment to eliminate failures and minimize downtime; this includes both in-house and outsourced maintenance
- Aids multiple operations; gives directions to managers with mobile equipment foreman and mechanics
- Monitors and tracks equipment usage; ensures effective preventive maintenance programs including tires and wear parts
- Holds dealerships and rental yards accountable for uptime of equipment; prepares capital budget requests and work/purchase orders for major maintenance and new equipment purchases
- Helps forecast future equipment needs and expenditures
- Ensures that all company safety and environmental policies are met
- Coordinates updating DMV registration and proper insurance coverage
- Acts as a technical advisor on equipment issues with management and fellow workers; works with corporate equipment department to ensure useful and accurate reporting
Bachelors degree is preferred
Requirements/Qualifications- Experience in equipment management pertaining to large mobile mining equipment as well as on-road commercial vehicles
- In depth knowledge pertaining to heavy equipment: hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, machining and electrical
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer programs
- Knowledge of DOT, PERP and CARB regulations
- Experience with both on-and-off-road Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems
- Existing relationships with CAT, Komatsu, and John Deere is preferred
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
