About the Role
Our Early School program offers teaching assistants the opportunity to support a nationally rated, well-researched curriculum designed specifically for our youngest learners. You will help lay the foundations for early literacy, numeracy, the physical world, art, music, and science. We encourage our teaching assistants to work with and motivate each child to progress at a stimulating pace without pressure or loss of self-esteem. Our preschool environment celebrates both the joy of childhood and play, as well as the exploration and learning of actual concepts and skills!
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Support individual and small group instruction, reinforcing concepts introduced by the lead teacher.
- Help prepare materials and set up classroom activities.
- Supervise students during class, transitions, and on the playground.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
Skills and Experience
- Associate's degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with technology.
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
